East Hollow Model Cabins

Three Simple Ways to Live Here

East Hollow is Oak Hollow’s long-term living community — a quiet place for people who want to live simply, intentionally, and with a long view.

All cabins in East Hollow are built around the same core ideas: modest size, durable construction, off-grid readiness, and daily life that stays connected to the land.
Rather than unlimited customization, we offer three clear cabin models, each designed for a different kind of long-term resident.

These models apply whether you:

  • build your own cabin to our plans,
  • have Oak Hollow build one for you, or
  • move into an already completed cabin.

Shared Standards for Every East Hollow Cabin

Regardless of size or build path, every East Hollow cabin follows the same baseline standards. These are not optional.

  • Long-term placement on a leased East Hollow lot
  • Built to approved Oak Hollow cabin models
  • Off-grid–ready design
  • A dedicated generator house
  • A hearth — a 4×6 outdoor outhouse with integrated firewood storage
  • Quiet, low-impact living expectations
  • No short-term rentals

These shared elements are how East Hollow remains peaceful, coherent, and livable over time.

🌲 Model 1 — The Threshold Cabin

12×16 · Oak Hollow Standard

The Threshold Cabin is the simplest expression of East Hollow living. It’s designed for one person who wants to live lightly but seriously — with fewer systems, fewer distractions, and more attention to daily life.

Overview

  • 12×16 insulated interior
  • Simple, durable construction
  • No interior bathroom (paired with hearth)
  • Designed for long-term use, not weekend stays

Status

  • Our first East Hollow cabin
  • Oak Hollow–built
  • Available once current renovations are complete

Typical Pricing

  • Cabin price typically starts around $30,000
  • Down payment and monthly structure depend on living path
  • Lot lease is separate

This cabin sets the baseline for what East Hollow is.

🌿 Model 2 — The Homestead Cabin

12×20 or 12×24

The Homestead Cabin offers more interior breathing room while keeping the same East Hollow philosophy — simple systems, externalized utilities, and a quiet rhythm of living.

Overview

  • Expanded interior space
  • Same generator house and hearth standards
  • Suitable for long-term solo living or a couple
  • Built to approved Oak Hollow plans

Typical Pricing

  • Mid-$30,000s to low-$40,000s, depending on size and build path

This model is for residents who want more room without leaving simplicity behind.

🏡 Model 3 — The Long View Cabin

14×28 or 16×24

The Long View Cabin is for someone who knows they are ready to settle in for the long haul. It remains modest by conventional standards, but offers greater flexibility for long-term living.

Overview

  • Largest East Hollow cabin model
  • Built selectively and intentionally
  • Still off-grid–minded, still restrained
  • Longer build timeline

Typical Pricing

  • Upper-$40,000s to mid-$50,000s

This model is about commitment — to place, pace, and presence.

How Cabin Models Fit with Living Paths

The cabin models above work within East Hollow’s three long-term living paths:

Option 1 — Lease a Lot (DIY Cabin Build)

You lease an East Hollow lot and build your own cabin using one of the approved models.
You own the cabin; Oak Hollow leases the land beneath it.

Option 2 — Lease-to-Own (We Build Your Cabin)

Oak Hollow builds your chosen cabin model.
You make a down payment and monthly payments toward the cabin, along with a separate lot lease.

Option 3 — Rent a Completed Cabin

You rent an existing Oak Hollow cabin on a long-term lease.
This option is limited and availability varies.

Details for each path are explained on our East Hollow Living Paths page.

A Note on Fit

East Hollow is not designed for everyone — and that’s intentional.

We are selective because this is a shared place with a long horizon.
Conversations begin with understanding, not applications.
