West Hollow

A Place to Rest, Reflect, and Remember What’s Real

Short-Stay Off-Grid Retreats in North Alabama · Opening March 2026

West Hollow is part of Oak Hollow Cabins — a 70-acre off-grid refuge tucked among pines, hardwoods, and quiet walking trails near Boaz, Alabama.

Where East Hollow offers long-term living, West Hollow is designed for short, restorative stays — peaceful retreats for those who want to step away from noise, screens, and daily pressure for a few days at a time.

Here, there’s no electricity, no running water in the cabins, and no Wi-Fi.
Just wind through the trees, the glow of your fire, and the kind of quiet that helps life settle back into balance.

🏕️ The Cabins

Every West Hollow cabin is built by hand and placed with privacy and quiet in mind.

Each cabin includes:

  • One XL twin bed with fresh linens (recommended for 1 guest)
  • A small writing table and chair
  • Wood-burning stove for warmth and soft evening glow
  • Battery lanterns for gentle night lighting
  • A private composting toilet in the adjoining Hearth structure
  • A covered porch overlooking untouched woodland

🔥 Outdoor Cooking

Each cabin has a stone fire ring with a cooking tripod, perfect for preparing simple meals over an open flame.

Guests may cook:

  • Over the fire at the tripod
  • Or on the wood-burning stove inside the cabin

Many guests enjoy both — morning coffee on the stove, and a slow, quiet evening meal cooked over the fire.

These cabins are designed for solo retreat — a place to breathe, reflect, and reset.
